A surprise at every corner,
What sights and sounds to see.
A flow of people and history,
Carried through the waters of life,
As I watched, a smile came upon me.
Romance felt as couples posed,
Universal in their love of Venice,
Such tenderness as the day draws close.
Sitting by the edge with my legs out,
Water lapping at my feet,
In my mind, thankful without a doubt.
