The sun rises above the rooftops,
Buildings that defy the ages,
Standing by the window as I watched,
A blend of old and new to create such wonders.
In this city that I have walked,
People passed me by,
Children running to the top,
Riding down with joyful cries.
An artistry to the chaos,
Through the seasons, autumn to fall,
Witnessing this, I feel small and lost,
Thankful to experience it all.
In life, in love, in all that we offer as such,
A beauty that cannot be easily described,
Little wonder, these memories have etched themselves forever in my heart.......
